Biffa Award Small Grants Scheme to allow faster access to funds for small-scale projects

Community and environmental projects across the UK will now have the opportunity to access grants of up to £10,000 more quickly, thanks to changes to Biffa Award’s Small Grants Scheme.

The new-look scheme will streamline the application process for those looking for grants of between £250 and £10,000 – double the previous upper limit – to offer quicker access to these lower levels of funding.

Often groups need only a relatively small amount of money to make a real difference to a local facility – be it a community building, nature reserve or outdoor space.  It is hoped that increasing the upper limit of the scheme from £5,000 to £10,000 will allow smaller-scale projects with a total project cost of less than £30,000 to get off the ground more quickly.
