The Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) is a Government funded programme between sport and higher and further education to support young athletes still in education. The programme supports athletes aged 16 – 28, and up to aged 35 in the case of disability athletes, with a tailored package of services, such as coaching, strength and conditioning, lifestyle support, physiology and sports medicine, worth up to £3,500.
Athletes must be competing at national or international level in their sport.
To apply athletes must be nominated by their sport’s own national governing body (NGB). The athletes NGB will also plan how the award is spent, athletes do not receive the money up front.
